Description: These impressive oysters can live up to 40,60,70 years! It takes 10 years to mature before being harvested. Larger than an adult hand, these oysters produce anywhere from 15 to 30 pearls!

Activity Includes: 

  • Choose an undisturbed oyster.
  • Use a special machine custom designed to assist cracking the oyster hinge and pry it open.
  • Remove pearls encased within the protective membrane.
  • Clean the interior of the oyster to keep both halves.
  • Assess the amount, size, shape and color of the pearls.
  • (1) gold lame' keepsake pouch to store all your pearls.
  • (1) decorative pearl cage pendant with necklace to proudly wear one of your favorite pearls.
